Fall Finals Schedule:

The Keller ISD fall semester finals schedule has been released. Finals will be run Jan. 13-15, 2016.

The first day of finals, Jan. 13, is a full day of school. On Jan. 14 and 15, high school students have early release at 12:30 p.m.

Finals will be taken in an hour and fifteen minute class periods. The finals for first and fifth period will be taken on Jan. 13.

Finals for 2A, 3A, and 4A will be taken on Jan. 14. Finals for 2B, 3B, 4B will be taken on Jan. 15.

Yearbook Info:

All students should check their photo and name in the commons area across from the Fine Arts Center.

If your name is spelled wrong, or you see a problem, you must come to M106 by the end of the week to make any corrections.

Have you ordered your 2016 Creek Yearbook? You only have until January 31 to order.

Check the list posted in the main hall to see if you have ordered.

No additional yearbooks will be available later on, the only way to guarantee that you get a yearbook in May is to order now. http://www.yearbooksforever.com​ or pick up an order form in the front office.

AP Exam Registration Now Open:

AP Registration is now open for Timber Creek students.

The cost per exam is $87 if you register and pay before Feb. 5, 2016.

The cost increases to $92 per exam after Feb. 5. The final registration deadline is March 4.

Timber Creek Class of 2016 — here’s a list of things you need to know about:

Senior Assembly:

There will be a Senior Assembly on Jan. 20 during 2nd period.  Assembly will cover the following:  cap and gown; prom information; international flags; senior fundraisers and any other information pertinent to seniors. Balfour will return Jan. 26 to collect senior cap and gown orders.

Senior Prom:

Timber Creek High School will hold their Class of 2016 Senior Prom on May 21, 2016.

The event will be held at the Fort Worth Convention Center in downtown Fort Worth.

Over a third of the Senior Class voted for the theme to be Arabian Nights.

2016 Graduation:

2016 Graduation Rehearsal:  Friday, May 27, 8:00 am – small gym.  Attendance mandatory.

2016 Graduation:  The Timber Creek High School Class of 2015 will graduate on May 28, 2016 at 8:00 pm, at College Park Center, 601 Spaniolo Drive, Arlington, TX 76019.  There is a ticket allotment for this event.  The number of tickets that will be allotted to each senior will be determined at a later date.

Project Graduation:

Timber Creek will be hosting Project Graduation for all seniors on May 28, 2016 (graduation day) from midnight to 6 a.m. The event will be held at Main Event in Presidio Junction.

The event will be an all night lock-in including; bowling, laser tag, video games, billiards, gravity ropes, karaoke, and door prizes (laptops, tablets, printers, TV’s, microwaves, gift cards, etc.) Food will be provided, including a pizza buffet, continental breakfast and unlimited beverages.

Early Release on Jan. 29 only for Timber Creek High School

Timber Creek students will have early release on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016 at 12:35 p.m.

The campus is hosting hosting a Texas Academic Decathlon tournament from Jan. 29-30 which will require the use of many classrooms and facilities.

On an A day schedule, students will spend 30 minutes in their 1st and 5th period classes while 2nd, 3rd and 4th periods will each be 45 minutes long.

Additionally, there are no lunches on half days, but sack lunches will be available in the cafeteria for purchase at 12:35.

Students who travel to Birdville for their classes will still travel on that date, but no other students will be traveling to other campuses for their classes.

“Guys and Dolls” Nets 26 Nominations for “The Kelleys”

“The Kelleys,” Keller ISD’s take on “The Tony Awards,” is set for Jan. 22, 2016, at 7 p.m. at Timber Creek High School.

“The Kelleys” is Keller ISD’s award show for High School musicals in the district. A judging panel has viewed each of the high school musicals and has nominated schools and students for awards such as, Best Actor/Actress in a Leading Role, Excellence in Choreography, Best Musical and many more. The panel of judges also provides feedback on improvements for each theater company to improve upon.

Timber Creek’s cast and crew were nominated at least once in all 23 categories for their production of “Guys and Dolls.”

WATCH: Varsity Basketball Games vs. Keller

The varsity Falcon Basketball Teams had district play on Jan. 5, 2016 against Keller High School.

The game was covered live online by Timber Creek Broadcast Journalists. This live experience allowed viewers to hear play-by-play and color commentary, view graphics, and see a multi-camera production completely staffed by TCHS students.

Live coverage was available through the NFHS High School Sports Network. Click here for a replay of the event to watch on demand.

+ Financial Aid Night is on January 19th.  This is a night to education parents and students on financial assistance, grants, loans, and scholarship opportunities and processes.

+ It’s that time again!  The cheer program is hosting cheer tryouts the week before Spring Break.  In order to be eligible to tryout for the 2016-2017 Cheer Team,  all candidates and at least one parent MUST attend, and sign in at one of the four meetings below:
-Monday, January 25th 7:00 pm @ KHS
-Tuesday, January 26th 7:00 pm @ FRHS
-Wednesday, January 27th 7:00 pm @ TCHS
-Thursday, January 28th 7:00 pm @ CHS

+ Next National Art Honor Society Meeting will be Thursday January 21st after school in FA 109, make up morning meeting will be Friday morning January 22nd at 8 am in FA 105

+ If you’re interested in registering for Piano Class at Timber Creek next year, come to an informational meeting and demonstration on Monday, January 11 at 6:30pm in the Auditorium (FAC), to find out how you can take Piano for Fine Arts Credit.

+ Seniors Serve auditions are Jan. 11 at 4 p.m. in the Cafeteria.

+ Sky Dancer booster meeting on Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Lecture Hall.
