The sixth annual Bands of Keller 5K will be held on Saturday, April 27 at the Keller Town Hall. This year, the event will consist of a Fun Run, commencing at 8 a.m., and a 5K that will start at 8:30 a.m. As participants run, the four Keller ISD high school bands will play music along the course.
The cost of the 5K is $33, and the Fun Run costs $23. Registration can be paid online by clicking here. Online registration will remain open until midnight on Wednesday, April 24.
From Thursday, April 25 through Friday, April 26, registration will only be accepted in person on race packet pickup days or payment can be paid on race day, however, the price for the 5K increases to $40 and the price of the Fun Run increases to $30. Cash or check is preferred, however credit/debit is accepted.
Additionally, runners have the option to join a team to run the race with. All runners registered with a team will receive 15% off their registration cost. Teams must have 5 or more members to be eligible for team awards.
Proceeds from this event will benefit each of the four Keller ISD high school bands. When registering, make sure to select Timber Creek as the school the participants are associated with.
Be sure to allow time after the race to stop by the vendor booths that will be set up. There are over 30 vendors with a variety of booths, ranging from foods to clothing and more. Participants are then encouraged to visit Rush Bowls for an after race snack. Ten percent of the proceeds will go back to the band programs.
