“A New Leaf” is the Fall 2020 edition of the Flight Art and Literature Magazine from Timber Creek High School in Keller ISD.
Submissions are now open for the Fall edition of FLIGHT, our Art and Literary Magazine. This season’s theme is “A New Leaf.” To turn over a new leaf means to start anew in one’s life, to change. That is exactly what this edition in about: change.
Thirty-seven Timber Creek artworks were virtually judged in the TAEA State VASE competition over the weekend. Adrea Hardy, Jacob Kuchar, Hannah Ongmanchi, and Ava Pilcher received Gold Seals for their pieces.
The artwork of students across the area adorned the cafeteria on Saturday, Feb. 22 during the annual Region 11 Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE) contest. This year, the art department has 37 artworks advance to the state VASE competition.
On Thursday, Nov. 7, high school art students in Keller ISD participated in the third annual KISD Art Contest. Timber Creek was the overall champion in the competition.
NAHS will host a ‘Knit Your Own Chunky Infinity Scarf’ fundraiser on Wednesday, Nov. 13 in room FA 108 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. It costs $15 to participate.
This year, NAHS is will host monthly craft nights, the first of which will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in room FA108. It costs $25 to participate. Participants will make fabric flowers and create their own wreaths.
The 2019 Fall Art and Literary Magazine is accepting submissions from Sept. 19 to Oct. 30. The theme for the Fall issue is “Through My Eyes” and submissions should relate to this theme.
