Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach is the latest game of the worldwide famous horror games loved by millions of players, produced by Steel Wool Studios, who also made Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted. Set for an 80’s look, we get two new animatronics to join the stage alongside Chica and Freddy; Roxy and Montgomery. Their concept designs reference some punky, disco, fierce designs giving the band their glam-rock look. The building itself is coated in bright colors, LEDs, funky floors, and loads of things to admire. If getting into the game isn’t exciting, then the building you are put into will definitely give you the excitement you need.
Play as Gregory, a young boy who is trapped overnight in Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex, the overall building you will be residing in. With the help of Fazbear himself, Gregory must survive the unstoppable hunt of these new versions of the Five Nights at Freddy’s characters – as well as some new threats.
Once the nighttime protocols have started, the animatronics around the Pizzaplex will become relentless to pursue any and all intruders who may be roaming around the building. Glamrock Chica, Roxanne Wolf, Montgomery Gator, and the security guard, Vanessa, will look in every crevice and hiding spot if they have to – so it’s not wise to stay in a single spot for long.
You will be able to access the building’s security cameras to survey the area and plan your path through the up ahead danger. Distract the animatronics by knocking over paints and toys, so you’ll be able to slip away before the enemies come too close to you. Know your surroundings, because you never know if Monty Gator will be right behind you, chasing you down.
The locations you mainly visit offer tons of attractions and variety for the guests for their enjoyment – Monty Golf, Roxy Raceway, Bonnie Bowl, the sewers, and more sewers? The Pizzaplex is vast and has no shortage of goodies and lore to discover.
In the opening cutscene when getting into the game, Glamrock Freddy, Montgomery Gator, Roxanne Wolf, and Glamrock Chica get ready for their musical performance. However, right when they are about to start their famous show, Freddy malfunctions and collapses on stage.
Freddy awakes in his room in “Safe Mode”, to the sound of a little boy in his chest cavity, who we soon find out is Gregory. Freddy then tries to help him leave the building and escape through the front doors before they close at midnight, but he arrives just too late when he watches them close in front of him. With Freddy’s help, Gregory must survive until 6:00 AM in the Pizzaplex.
Gregory first enters the Superstar Daycare, where he obtains his very first security badge. During this time he survives against the Daycare attendant and his evil second side. Once defeated, he is kicked out by the attendant for turning off the lights, which causes the attendant’s evil side to come out. Gregory proceeds to hide in Freddy, where then we meet Vanny, a fluid-moving bunny who only Gregory saw. After that moment, the duo’s adventure continues to find more secrets behind the madness.
Eventually, after a long while of them gaining ground, Vanessa finds and catches Gregory and locks him up in lost and found, but he eventually escapes, once again seeing Vanny. Gregory finds Freddy, who is damaged, and takes him to Parts and Services so he could be fixed. Unfortunately, the Daycare attendant (as his evil alter ego) captures the body of Freddy. Gregory has to make his way to Parts and Services alone, avoiding the Five Nights at Freddy’s classic endoskeletons along the way.
He finds Vanessa talking to Freddy about the young boy, and threatening to replace him by putting him into a new Endo casing if he is indeed helping the boy. She doesn’t repair Freddy, instead continues her search for Gregory, leaving Freddy alone in the room. Gregory then has to repair Freddy himself, bringing in that Help Wanted aspect to the game.
Depending on the player’s choices, the superstar duo proceeds to defeat a number of animatronics, including the DJ music man and two of Freddy’s friends before the night ends at 6 AM. Gregory uses those parts gained from Freddy’s friends to upgrade Freddy in Parts and Services. When the final ten-minute countdown begins till 6 AM, the duo must wake their way back to the front of the building to leave. However, once they arrive the Player is given a choice; Stay, Leave, or Vanny. Gregory can stay after 6 AM in order to defeat the remaining band member and/or get other endings, but there will be no more save points that will work.
Scott had left us with so many new questions, and even then, he left the Five Nights at Freddy’s community a father figure. The whole game was amazing and it was defiantly a great experience to watch and enjoy, to discover more and more secrets along the way, and to get that feeling of having an animatronic on your side. Having to actually experience the area instead of being locked up in a security office for the full game. It is by far the most detailed but also eye-catching Five Nights at Freddy’s game I have seen so far.
