TCTV presents nahthisaintareview, a food review show made by seniors Austin Cortez and Dylan Rydberg. Episodes are available to watch on the nathisaintareview Youtube channel. We decided to just go around town reviewing restaurants, and right now we are on a streak for going to restaurants that have recently just opened, which is a complete coincidence.

A new pizza place was going to open up near us, so I thought it would be a great idea to film our reactions to the pizza. It reminded me of Dave Portony’s One Bite pizza review show he does on Barstool Sports, but we didn’t want to have the same style as theirs. So, instead of just reviewing pizza, we would just go around town and review any type of food. The first video we put up did really well but we still have a long way to go. At the time when we recorded that video we didn’t have a name for our review show and we couldn’t really come up with anything so we just thought of, nahthisaintareview.

Johnny’s Pizza

On Sept. 1st, we reviewed Johnny’s Pizza on 5337 Golden Triangle Boulevard. We ordered a half pepperoni and half alfredo pizza. We waited about 50 minutes to get our pizza, which already wasn’t a good look. After a few bites of the pepperoni, we knew the money we spent wasn’t worth it. We scored the pepperoni a combined 5 out of 10. The pizza was super greasy. It was not looking too good for Johnny’s so we then tried the alfredo and it gave the place hope. It was really good, and we compared it to Cici’s alfredo and placed it over it for sure. We scored it a 7 out of 10. It was still greasy but the taste was really nice. We uploaded the review on September 21st, which was very well received.

The first episode is located in TCTV’s Nonstop, link here. Further episodes will be located on the “nahthisaintareview” Youtube channel.

Hoots Wings

To continue reviewing places, we went and tried Hoots Wings on 5317 Golden Triangle Boulevard, which was conveniently right next to Johnny’s Pizza. We were already pretty hopeful for the food because it’s already a well established restaurant. We got boneless barbecue wings, hot honey buffalo bone in, and garlic parmesan bone in wings. We also got tater tots and waffle fries for our sides. Everything was looking very presentable and delicious.

To start it off we tried the sides, and the tater tots were really tasty and so we rated them a 7 out of 10. The waffle fries were also tasty, but not as good as other waffle fries but we still rated them a solid 6 out of 10. For the wings, we tried the boneless barbecue first which definitely lived up to expectations. We rated them a 7 out of 10, then we tried the bone-in garlic parmesan wings next. Very delicious, an 8 out of 10 any day and having them boneless would make them just as good. The bone-in hot honey buffalo wings were last but certainly not least. We rated them a high 9 out of 10, best of the night. The video hasn’t been published yet but you can definitely seeing it being published in the next month or so no doubt.

We’ve really enjoyed this whole experience and we can’t wait to put out more content in the future.
