Timber Creek High School Principal Michelle Somerhalder is moving to a new position within Keller ISD starting July 1st, 2021, while a search will begin for the next principal for the Falcons.

Somerhalder has been named the Assistant Director for Academic Support for the school district. In an e-mail to Timber Creek families, the district highlighted the iChoose, Flight School and Launch programs that have successfully helped students graduate and achieve educational goals at TCHS for the past few years.

“The need for individual plans for K-12 students will be a priority for the District in this post-pandemic climate”, said Dr. Leanne Shivers, Area Superintendent for the Falcon Feeder Pattern said in the e-mail. “Michelle has a passion and expertise for working with students and families in the design of learning plans to achieve educational success.”

Somerhalder has been at Timber Creek High School since 2015, first as an Assistant Principal from 2015-2018, then as Principal since then.

TCHS and Falcon Feeder School Families,

Keller ISD is pleased to announce that current Timber Creek High School Principal Michelle Somerhalder has been selected to serve as the District’s Assistant Director of Academic Support.

Somerhalder has experienced great success over the years at TCHS with programs such as iChoose, Flight School, and the Launch program. These programs are designed to help students attain their educational goals and graduate from Keller ISD.

Somerhalder will take the success that she has created in the secondary learning environment to support all learners, K-12, in Keller ISD.

Somerhalder will officially start her new role on July 1, 2021. However, she will continue to support the campus and the TCHS community through this transition. The District will immediately begin its search for the next TCHS Principal.
