Half way through the district season, the varsity softball team is currently undefeated and ranked number one in 1-6A region. Making their way through district and beating competitive teams like Keller and Eaton, the win streak looks like it shows no sign of stopping. After a few seasons off from the program making playoffs, this season looks like a different story.

“Right now we are in top of district because we are undefeated and sometimes it can be nerve racking because we know every team is coming for us,” Senior designated hitter and relief pitcher, Sarah Brown said. “But with the way we have been playing, we’re not really nervous and we are just gonna keep playing how we’ve been playing.”

Even throughout a pandemic, the team has found a way to create a bond that keeps the wins coming. Senior shortstop, Lauryn Davies said, “Honestly, I think we have been so successful this season because of how close the team is and how much we constantly bond together to create a stronger team.”

With every opposing program looking to beat the Lady Falcons, the team is focused on bettering themselves and not letting the fear of losing get to them.

“We don’t crack under pressure, we have each other’s backs on and off the field and that’s what makes us a good team,” Senior catcher, Melody Fuentes said.

Timber Creek’s next district game is April 6th against Fossil Ridge, where these players hope to continue to be undefeated.
