Eighteen students competed at the Future Business Leaders Of America (FLBA) Virtual State Leadership Conference. Out of those, 8 students had placed for Nationals.

FLBA specializes in preparing students for careers in business. The FBLA academic competitions work to develop leadership skills and college readiness. It gives students a format to showcase their business expertise all while sharpening their knowledge.

Skylee McLoud is the current president of FBLA. For the 3 years she’s been apart of FBLA, she has placed at state and been eligible for nationals. McLoud placed 1st in Public Speaking.

Harrison Manship, Kevin Pham, and Drake Darnell competed as an E-Business team. Harrison and Drake have been apart of FBLA for a total of 4 years. They’ve placed at State twice in a team competition. Kevin is a new member of FBLA and competed for the first time this year. This trio placed 4th in E-Business.

Meredith Wiggins and Avary Ely competed as a Publication Design team. They’ve both been apart of FBLA for 4 years and held multiple different leadership roles. They placed 5th in Publication Design.

Khoi-Nguyen Nguyen and Nabeela Hassan competed as a Website Design team. They’ve been apart of FBLA for 2 years. They placed 5th in Website Design.

The National Leadership Conference will be held virtually June 29 to July 2.
