This year has certainly been one of adjustments for the show choir. From losing their class period to not going to the hugely popular Lone Star competition, there hasn’t been a dull moment yet-something this group has handled extremely well.

The group, named Aerodynamix, did the best they have in eight years, placing third in finals at the 2020 Fort Worth Cowtown Classic, which took place Friady, Feb. 7 through Saturday, Feb. 8.

The Cowtown Classic is a show choir competition that takes place over the course of two days, the first being middle and intermediate school groups and the second being high school groups. The preliminary rounds, quarter or semi finals, and finals take place in the same day, making for a busy 15 hour day for the Falcon show choir students.

To prepare for the competition, the group had to step up their morning practices by arriving at school by 6:45 a.m. every Tuesday through Thursday morning. From conditioning to choreography and everything in between, their comeback took hard work and dedication.

For this new and improved group, show choir students can only hope that their quick success is a good omen for what’s to come the next few years.
