Senior year can be a stressful time for many students. The struggle of paying for college becomes much more real, which is why a number of seniors start desperately searching for independent scholarships.

Luckily, for those interested in technical science or engineering, the National Society of Black Engineers at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is offering a great opportunity to further one’s education.

The professionals at the aeronautics company will be handing out three scholarships, each totaling $1,000, to qualified students in the DFW area. To check if qualified to apply and for further requirements, please refer to the attachments. An application form, list of essay prompts, and checklist has been provided as well.

Keep in mind that there is still time to submit the application packet, but the April 17 deadline is fast approaching. Candidates may submit these to Keith Jackson at keith.o.jackson@lmco.com, as well as send an email to this address with any inquiries.

Be on the look out for the announcement of the winners on May 11, and best of luck to all those applying.
