After having to cancel his speech back in the fall, author Neal Shusterman has been rescheduled to visit on Monday, Feb. 10 in the Fine Arts Center from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Students that would like to attend will need to pick up and turn in a permission slip from librarian Brandy Abbott by Thursday, Feb. 6.

After the presentation, students will have the opportunity to get their book signed by Shusterman if they please.

During his presentation, Shusterman will be talking about his experiences as a writer and his new book entitled, Game Changer, which is expected to be available in October of 2020.

Shusterman won the Golden Kite Award for Fiction as well as the National Book Award for Young People’s Literature for his book Challenger Deep, published in 2015. The author is mainly a young-fiction writer, and is well known for his series Unwind and Arc of a Scythe. The American writer has also written the stories for Disney movie, Pixel Perfect (2004), and action movie, Double Dragon (1994).

The award winning author was originally supposed to visit on Nov. 18, but had to cancel due to a family emergency in Hong Kong.
