The Falcon Boys Varsity Basketball team will kick off their first game of the season Tuesday, Nov. 19. The Falcons have high hopes, after making the playoffs last campaign. The team is confident this year in their abilities to play against a tough district and are confident in their abilities to work together.

The boys will play in their first home game of the season against Waxahachie on Friday, Nov. 22 at 6:30 p.m.

“I am confident in our abilities that we can make the playoffs, whether we place first or fourth in the district it is difficult to tell the outcome now,” senior Jordyn Vicente said.

According to Vicente the teams in the district are more well-rounded this year, making it anyone’s game. The team has not only grown a tighter bond but has also made a huge impact in the basketball world on campus.

“Every team is beatable it just comes down to how we play,” Vicente said.

Most of the teammates have played together for since middle school. For seniors like Vicente, this season is the last chance to find success on the court for their high school career.

“I just want to go and give everything I can every time I step on the floor,” Vicente said.
