After four years of anticipation, seniors will finally get the opportunity to take part in the fourth annual Project Graduation Main Event lock-in. The night will be filled with laser tag, bowling, karaoke and more. The lock-in will be on May 25, 2019, at 11:30 p.m. and will end the next day at 5:30 a.m.; however, no guests will be admitted after 1:00 a.m.
Project Graduation President, Kacey White, touches more on what to expect at the lock-in.
“The event will be an all-night lock-in including unlimited bowling, laser tag, video games, billiards, gravity ropes course, karaoke, and door prizes. Food will be provided at the event, including a pizza buffet, continental breakfast, and unlimited beverages,” said White. “Each senior will be given a game card that allows him/her to play unlimited games all night long.”
Seniors who register by Dec. 14 will only pay $65 and receive five raffle tickets. Bundle packages are available until Dec. 14, which range in price from $80 to $100. After Dec. 14 the tickets will be $65 with only three raffle tickets until Feb. 22. The price increases to $80 after Feb. 22 and $100 after April 19.
“The price increases incrementally as it gets closer to the event, so students should not delay on signing up,” White added.
Seniors will need to complete a registration form in order to attend the event. Additionally, seniors who intend to bring guests are required to complete a guest form; however, guests will not be eligible to receive any prizes.
“We have to have a minimum of 300 people participate in order to have the event. Our goal is to have at least half the graduating class so that would put us at about 392,” White explained.
In the spirit of graduating, seniors will have the opportunity to win door prizes through a raffle. The prizes will include items such as laptops, televisions, and microwaves to prepare students with college necessities.
“Seniors have the opportunity to work towards earning raffle tickets through projects and fundraisers like spirit dining nights and Flamingo Flocking, [and] there are still plenty of opportunities available,” White replied.
Tickets can be purchased through the Project Graduation online store or checks can be made out to “TCHS Project Graduation.”
“Be involved in as many things as possible and make this year as memorable as you can-it goes by fast,” suggested White.
