Timber Creek and Keller both moved to a 1-1 district football record after an Oct. 5 home game that put a W up for the Indians.

Keller started strong, putting up 14 unanswered points until late into the first quarter, when Max Arnold caught an end zone pass to put the first touchdown of the night on the Timber Creek score. As the second quarter began, Falcons pushed downfield and running back Blake Irving drove the second Falcon touchdown of the night into Keller’s end zone, tying the game at 14-14.

That’d be the last time the teams would see the same total on both sides of the scoreboard as Keller immediately responded with a touchdown and added another with the two-point conversion to see the Indians up 29-14 at halftime.

Keller RB Enoch Ntchobo would run another TD in for Keller, putting the Indians up even further, 36-14, over the Falcons, before Timber Creek could answer back. Blake Irving drove the train again, pushing in for a TD and caught a pass for 2 more, bringing Creek 22 to Keller’s 36 in the third quarter.

Despite efforts from the team, the Falcons scoring was done, and after a final Keller TD early in the forth quarter, the final score would stand with Keller 43 to Timber Creek’s 22.

The Falcons move on to face Denton Guyer on Oct. 12 in an away game.
