The Timber Creek Library has once again set to make improvements with the recent addition of new genre signs.

The current genre signs have been in the library since Timber Creek was established in 2010 and are “in need of an update” expressed Brandy Abbott, the school’s librarian.

To carry out the desired update Abbott has recruited the help of Carla Wright’s Graphic Design and Illustration CTE class. Students from the CTE class have composed these signs as an alternate project given to them by Wright.

“It’s been really successful so far,” Abbott said. “The kids have created some really amazing designs and we’ve narrowed them down to our final three designers who’s work will be displayed in the library.”

The updated genre signs will feature a more modern design and showcase some the newer books in the library that fall under each genre. New signs are currently set to be unveiled next week. The images featured are previews for the newest signs.
