“Emergencies can happen anywhere,” said Superintendent Dr. Rick Westfall. “In Keller ISD, we focus on keeping our students, employees and families safe. The best way to do that is to prepare to respond to an emergency before it happens.”

To educate many on how to be prepared for medical emergencies, the Health Services Department of Keller ISD will host its first Be Prepared! Stay Healthy Community Event on Tuesday, Feb. 27 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Keller Center for Advanced Learning (KCAL). The event is open to anyone wanting to learn what to do in case of a medical emergency.

The event will focus on how to prepare and respond to emergencies, medical and not. There will be booths at the event that one may visit that contain helpful resources. Some featured booths are first aid, CPR training, and how to recognize and respond to severe allergic reactions, in addition to many more.
