Graduation is coming up for the class of 2018. Seniors need to order their cap, gown and tassel before January 31. If you order after then, there will be a late fee of $20. Even if students are borrowing the cap and gown from someone else, every graduating senior must order a tassel. If you do not want to go online to order, the Balfour office is available to purchase graduation items there. Here is the link to order your items: Balfour.com

If a student wants to carry a flag during graduation, the forms are in the front office. The forms will not guarantee that you can carry the flag, but you will be considered.

Editor’s Note: Graduation ticket allocation has not be finalized. Additional information will be provided before Spring Break.

Project Graduation is coming up. Register for Main Event on their website Project Graduation. Donate $65 and earn 15 raffle tickets for the event. Spirit nights for this month include Marco’s Pizza on Jan. 10 and Chick-Fil-A on Jan. 30. Make sure to mention TCHS Project Graduation when you order. Buy a senior sign for $25 and Project Graduation t-shirts for $15.

There will also be a Senior Serve. Seniors will sell the tickets and be in charge of the event. It will either be $15 for a seat or $120 for a table. Flocking Flamingos is also an option. Donate $25 and have one of your friends flocked. Students can volunteer for this event and earn volunteer hours as well. Yankee Candle will have a Mothers Day sale in March to earn a Project Graduation ticket if you sell 10 candles. More information to come. The last fundraiser will be the Kiss the Goat Campaign which begins Jan. 10. Go online to the Project Graduation website to vote for the teacher that you would like to see kiss the goat. If the button is not online, bring cash or check (made out to TCHS PG 2018) to the office.

Donate to Project Graduation and let your parents, employers and others know that this is all tax deductible.

Events for prom will also include fundraisers. The Mr. Falcon pageant will be on Feb. 2 in the Fine Arts Center from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The tickets will be $5. Go to room M106 to pick up tickets before and after school or during third, fourth and fifth period.

If students go to the Men’s Warehouse in the Alliance Town Center to pick up their clothes for the pageant, TCHS receives cash back for every suit and tux rented which means more free prom tickets and opportunities.

The spring fundraiser for free prom tickets will be pretzels for $1 each. If you sell three cases then you get a free ticket. There will be white drizzle, sprinkles and Oreo options. The money will be due Feb. 1.

Students MUST have completed all their seat time when prom rolls around on May 19. Seat time can be made up with Mrs. Boehringer after school or during fifth period and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

Prom will be on May 19 from 7:00 p.m. to midnight. Tickets will be sold from Feb. 5 to Feb. 16 online at intouch.kellerisd.net.

If girls want to make sure that no one wears the same dress, Mrs. Boehringer will have an Instagram called Timbercreekprom18. Send your dress to Mrs. Boehringer so she can post them.
