As we make our way through the second semester, it is time for students to work with counselors to create their schedules for the next school year.

Students can currently make changes in course selection through Home Access Center. The window for incoming ninth grade online registration for classes runs from Wednesday, Jan. 24 to Friday, Feb. 23. For incoming sophomores, juniors, and seniors, the window for online registration runs from Monday, Jan. 8 to Friday, Feb. 9.

Counselors began meeting with current juniors as early as November. Continuing on Jan. 18 and 19, they met with juniors in their English classes to plan their schedules individually.

UPDATE: Counselors will resume the one-on-one meetings with current juniors on Feb. 12 and complete senior registration by the end of that week. Counselors are completing registration with current ninth graders in their history classes the week of Jan. 22. Registration for current sophomores will take place the first week of February. According to Counselor Cherie Gopffarth, all registration will be completed no later than Feb. 16.

It can seem like a daunting task to curate a schedule with such a plethora of classes to choose from.

Many new blended courses will be offered at Timber Creek in the 2018-19 school year. The blended program requires students to attend class from Tuesday to Thursday, while enabling them to have Monday and Friday off. Whereas English IV was the only blended class offered, students will now have the chance to take AP or on level courses for English 3, US History, Macroeconomics, Governments, and many other subjects.

Additionally, students are able to take many virtual learning classes that will be offered in the 2018-19. Many language courses and pathway classes will be offered for students to learn online. For the full list of the new blended and virtual learning classes that will be offered, click here.
