The My Career Connections program is participating in several service projects this holiday season. On Dec. 6, students helped raise $293 for the local Salvation Army Fort Worth Northside Center Bell Ringing Campaign.

These students rang bells outside a local Kroger to raise money for people in need through Salvation Army’s yearly campaign. The ringers stand next to a red kettle where passersby are asked to place their donations.

The My Career Connections program that set up this service project is a special education program that helps transition students into adult life. By offering these kinds of opportunities, students are better prepared for life after high school.
