On Saturday, May 6, Timber Creek will be hosting a percussion concert. The event will feature Trinity Meadows Intermediate, Trinity Springs and Timberview Middle School.  The concert will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center.

The event will include performances from the intermediate and middle schools,  the Timber Creek Indoor Drumline  and multiple solo and small ensemble performances from Timber Creek students.

“The percussion concert allows the middle schoolers to see some things to expect for their future in the percussion program,” explained sophomore marimba player John Roberts who will be performing his solo at the concert as well as the indoor drumline show. “It shows them some of the people who they will befriend and learn from later on.”

This concert will be a way for the middle schools to showcase what they have been learning the past year and to meet high school drumline students.

“It’s a way to showcase all of the hard work that not only the high school has put into this year but the hard work the middle schools have put in as well,” said sophomore quad player Maddison Rudd. “I’m looking forward to showcasing all the hard work that we have done throughout the year.”

There will also be a raffle held to give away a drum set. Each ticket is $5 to enter and will be sold during lunches. The winning ticket will be pulled during the concert.
