Winter Guard Takes 2nd Place At NTCA

After the start of their new season, the Winterguard takes second place at their fourth competition this season. The 2017 show is about statues coming to life, hence the title “Statuesque”.

“One of our team’s goals is to get first at championships,” Junior Color Guard member Paige Rupert explains. “All the junior and seniors have second and third place medals and we really want that first place one.”

Winterguard Championships will be held April 1, but with many competitions until then, the guard will continue to practice to prepare for championships.

“Getting second was awesome because last year we would get sixth or seventh almost every competition,” Rupert says, “to be doing so well this year is just amazing.”
