Timber Creek students and staff can cast their vote for November’s Teacher of the Month.

October’s Teacher of the Month, Stacey Cleveland, was honored in early October by Principal Donnie Bartlett and other administrators.

The following teachers have been nominated by their department heads as examples of great educators at TCHS. Read the descriptions and vote below:

CTE
Emily Boehringer – From being the Senor class sponsor, promoting all students in the school and being an all-around enthusiastic and creative teacher, they nominate Emily for teacher of the month.

English
Cathy Reeves.  She meets her students where they are and helps them move beyond their self-imposed limits.

Fine Arts
Amanda Brundrett.  Ms. Brundrett is an excellent teacher and director.  She works very hard at making sure that all students are involved and learn.

Math
Terry Clarkson.  She leads our geometry team.  She is an innovative teacher and leads her team with enthusiasm.

Science
The Science department would like to nominate Alisha Fickle.   Alisha is always trying innovative lessons to keep students engaged.  She works well with ALL types of students.  Not only does she do a great job in the classroom, but as our head cheer coach she exemplifies a great leader on our campus.

Social Studies
Susan Hanggi – Ms. Hanggi has taken the lead in cultivating a more dynamic Pre-AP World Geography course. She has been a steady and positive level lead who collaborates well with her fellow teachers.

Special Education
Karen Rumer – Karen comes to work early and stays late so that she is prepared for whatever her day may hold. She is always professional – even in the face of some very difficult situations.  When you walk in to her classroom or just pass her class in the hall you can tell how much she cares about each of her kids.

World Languages
Curtis Russell – Curtis has adjusted well to a new campus even with the challenge of being a traveling teacher.  He fits in well with the other teachers in our department, and he keeps his students engaged during class.  He is positive, motivated, and hard working.
