Timber Creek Girls and Boys Varsity Golf teams competed in the Timber Creek Invitational Golf Tournament on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at the Iron Horse Golf in North Richland Hills. The day started out as a perfect cool temperature, as the weather conditions warmed up during the day, so did the Falcon golfers.

“The Falcon girls team showed great determination and battled throughout the day.” Said Head Golf Coach Russell Fuqua.

Lauren Wallace took 13th place in a field of 32, taking the lead for the Falcons. The Falcon boys secured second place team awards with a score of 323, just four strokes behind the winning team from Arlington Heights.

Not only was this a success for the team, but seniors, Dillion Fontaine, Cole Jones, Garrison Kuehler, Brandon McLendon and Jarred Roland claimed the number one spot in Timber Creek Golf team record book for an 18-hole tournament.

The varsity golf team has done an outstanding job at the Invitational, and after much success at the Northwest Invitational Golf Tournament with the JV girls and boys, they have a bright season ahead. Congratulations to our amazing Falcon golfers.
