For those who are interested in joining the Air Force Academy, here is information on the academy.

Juniors can start the application process to AFA, which is available online March 1 every year, by filling out the Pre-Candidate Questionnaire. Students also need to request nominations from their state congressional representatives or other designated nominators between March 1 of their junior year and Dec. 31 of their senior year.

When considering candidates, the AFA strives for a diverse selection of cadets. Other than diversity in race, ethnicity and gender, the academy looks for diversity in individual characteristics as well. Such as life experiences, geographic background, educational background, cultural knowledge, work background, physical abilities and age.
For the top diversity candidates, AFA offers the Falcon Visitation Experience. This allows students the opportunity to spend three days on the campus to get a look at what the academy is like. If any students are interested in this program, they need to contact their admissions advisor.

Students may also participate in an escorted tour and admissions briefing. Tours are offered throughout the year to middle school, high school and post-high school students. 14 days advance is required when scheduling a tour. There are also Game Day tours in which participants can buy discounted tickets to the games.

Key dates to remember:
