Philosophy club meets this Thursday from 4 to 4:40 p.m. in Room S 217.
DECA, the Distributive Education Clubs of America, has its first meeting on Tuesday Sept. 20 at 3:45 p.m. in Mr. Gonzalez’s room C217.
There is a joining fee of $20.
DECA meets every other week and sometimes more than once when it gets to competition season.
They attend a regional and state competition in Jan. and Feb. every year.
DECA is an organization students compete in individual or group challenges, to create business plans and further your knowledge in the world of business. DECA has over 200,000 members nationwide and you can join too.
Spanish Club’s first meeting is being held on Wednesday, Sept. 21.
It will take place in Señora Williams room, S114 and will last until 4:15 p.m. Speaking Spanish is not required to be in the club.
To join, just pick up an application outside of room S114 or from any Spanish teacher. There is a ten dollar fee to join and anyone who turns in their money by Monday will receive five dollars off of their Spanish club t-shirt. T-shirts will also be voted on at the first meeting.
Each meeting will include talks about Spanish culture and free food. Students in the club will also participate in culture outings, social events and community service.
Video Game Club
Video Game club meets this Tuesday in Mr. Otto’s room S215.
Falcon Photography Club
The first Falcon Photography Club meeting will be on Wednesday Sept. 21 at 3:55 p.m. in Mrs.Beers room N202
The next meeting for HOSA will be Thursday, Sept. 22 at 3:50 p.m. in the Lecture Hall. Come out and get updates on upcoming events.
Future Business Leaders of America will have their first meeting Wednesday Sept. 21 at 4 p.m. in N203. Joining FBLA will give you an opportunity to travel to San Antonio and Anaheim, California by competing with FBLA. Seniors will also receive a blue and gold cord for graduation.
Meetings will be held every Wednesday in the library from 3:50-4:15 p.m. The first book they will be reading is “Everything Everything” by Nicola Yoon.
There will be a FCCLA meeting Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 3:50 p.m. in room M105. New officers will be elected, so in order to vote and choose your event for regional competition, members will need to be present.
The Gay-Straight Alliance meeting is Thursday Sept. 22 in room C120 from 3:45-4:30 p.m.
Anime club will meet every Monday from 3:50-4:15 p.m. in FA108.
Archery club meets every Wednesday after school in C106.
German Club will meet every Wednesday Sept. from 4:00-4:30 p.m. in S112.
Speech and Debate Team
Speech and Debate will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:45-5:00 p.m. in M113.
STEM Club is a group concentrated on helping students pursuing a field in science, technology, engineering, or math. The club is sponsored by Physics teacher, Andre Dean. Anyone who is on the STEM pathway or is interested in a career in one of these areas can come to the meetings on Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m. in room M116.
Texas Association of Future Educators will hold their meeting on Monday Sept. 19 starting at 3:50 p.m. in M105.
The ASL club will hold their meeting on Wednesday Sept. 21 starting at 3:50 p.m. in S101.
Fencing Club will have their meeting on Tuesday Sept. 20 after school in C107.
JWAC will hold their meeting on Thursday Sept. 22 after school at S217.
TCHS Sticks and Strings
The knitting and Crochet Club will hold their meeting on Thursday Sept. 22 after school in M227.
