Six Timber Creek Art students were selected out of almost 500 entries to be shown in the Betsy Price Art contest this month.

Antonio Mendez (with two artworks), Lauren Bonham, Sloan Miller (with two artworks), Jessica Han, Kamron Gopffarth and Monica Miles were selected to be among the 65 pieces of art to be shown at the Fort Works Art gallery starting on May 21, 2016.

“It feels really good to be a part of this,” says Miles. “There are a lot of good artists around, and it’s crazy to be one of the top in Fort Worth.” See a picture of Miles’ art above.

The 65 pieces will hang in a gallery show, and the top three winners selected will win substantial awards: first place prize is $5,000, second place is $3,000 and third place is $1,000.

The pieces will be featured at the gallery  from May 17-28,  Tuesday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is located at 2100 Montgomery Street in Fort Worth, 76107. Click here for a Google map link.
