new campus website

Timber Creek High School has unveiled a new campus website to help students, parents, and the community stay connected to what’s happening at the school. The new website is part of a district effort to streamline and improve the websites across all of Keller ISD campuses.

The new site features cleaner arrangement of links, information, and features that members of the Timber Creek community can use from a variety of devices.

“Previously, there were issues in how the official TCHS website would display on all browsers or on devices such as mobile phones. The new design really improves on how the site looks across all devices,” Timber Creek Webmaster Greg Janda said.

New features include a simplified directory-style listing for teachers at Timber Creek, allowing parents and students easier access to contact them directly and even click to call teachers via mobile phones.

The Timber Creek Talon will continue to provide news, information, and announcements for the TCHS community and is prominently featured on the new webpage to show the latest details as they are published. The Talon’s Twitter feed — the official feed for Timber Creek High School — is also displayed on the front page to help update information.

“We hope this new page will help the Timber Creek community more easily access information about our school,” Janda said.

Mobile Features

One of the key improvements to the new page is the ability to adapt to mobile devices. When the site is accessed via a device like a mobile phone, it’ll change the layout to fit. See example below.

By pressing the three lines, users can find a menu including directory of teachers and staff, campus calendar, and various other options.

The new site is still a work in progress and students, parents, and the community are encouraged to give feedback on how it works for them.

“We want this site to be extremely useful,” Janda said. “If there’s something not working right for the community, we want to hear about it so we can fix it.”
