This past Saturday, Feb. 20, Timber Creek baseball held their annual 50 inning baseball game fundraiser.

Don’t let the name deceive you, the event is not actually 50 innings. Baseball players are split into eight different teams chosen by the varsity captains. The teams play all day–like a tournament–and only one team wins by the end. The event was very successful and the money raised will go towards the program for equipment and other necessities.

“It takes as long as 12 hours to play, which is actually much longer than 50 innings would be, it was nice to win in the end and know the time was worth it.” said Jordan Harmond, member of the winning team.

Harmond’s team was made up of the captain Brian Klein, Nathan Zaccaria, Mateo Gil, Gavin Carter, John Ferguson, Jordan Forister, Dillon Ligon, Gavin Mills, and Blake Mitchell.

“Zaccaria came up big whenever we needed someone to and won us the game.” Harmond said.
