The annual Vase competition is coming up on Saturday, Feb. 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Hebron High School in Plano.

150 Timber Creek students will be participating in this year’s event. Each student is allowed to enter up to two pieces of artwork which will be scored by judges. The competition gives students a chance to compete and showcase their art skills and a chance to qualify for State.

A VASE night was held on Thursday, Feb. 11 at Timber Creek to give competing students an extra night to work on their art pieces. The students also practiced mock interviews to help prepare them for the upcoming competition.

Timber Creek art teacher, Mrs. Fitch, is ready for the upcoming competition.

“I am confident in the artwork produced, and I think we will do very well. The students have worked really hard all year long, and I am hoping for a lot of success,” Fitch said.
