blood-drive-wikicommons

HOSA is holding the year’s first Blood Drive on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015.

The Carter Blood Care Buses will be outside the Fine Arts Hallway from 1:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Participants will need to sign up in room N208 with Mrs. Reeder. Seniors will receive priority placement for donating. You may donate if you’re 16 or older with a parent form. Those forms are available in room N208.

No student will be allowed to donate during class time. The early donation times are for Seniors with off periods only.

Seniors will need to donate twice this year to receive the Red Honor Cord to wear at graduation. A second blood drive date is planned for April.

On donation day, be sure to:
•Drink plenty of water- 16 oz. is recommended by Carter Blood Care.
•Eat a healthy meal- make sure to eat something with less fat and more iron.
•Bring a driver’s license or another form of ID that contains your birthdate. A TCHS student ID will not be accepted.
•Wear appropriate clothing- something comfy with loose sleeves that gives access to the elbow.
