Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is held every Friday morning at 7:15 a.m. in the morning in the field house. It’s an opportunity for students of Timber Creek to hear messages of faith spoken from their fellow students.

“Although we have to get up early, FCA is an awesome start to our Fridays. It’s so fun being able to come together with other believers or non-believers at the school and learn more about Christ. We build relationships and grow together,” student speaker Callie Chambers said.

FCA is open to all grades and is not selective whether you’re an athlete or not.

“FCA is important to me because it’s a place where people, not just athletes, with the common faith in Jesus Christ can come together to encourage each other, learn from one another and grow in faith together,” said TCHS club supervisor Tim Thomas.

FCA is a club that does not require an application or mandatory meetings, it is purely the students decision when they want to participate and how much they want to contribute.

Speakers change weekly and open to any regular attending student who volunteers. Primary student speakers have been Brian Klein, Callie Chambers, Katie Oliphint and Addie Whitaker.

“It’s a great place to be comfortable and learn about faith. Even for people who are still learning where they stand with God, it’s great to be surrounded with friends who are welcoming and want to encourage each others faith,” sophomore Nic Thompson said.
