The Timber Creek Golf Team performed well against some stiff competition in multiple tournaments, Sept. 21 and 28, 2015.

Varsity girls and boys traveled to Wildhorse Golf Course at Robson Ranch ready to compete.

The varsity girls team, which consisted of Sydney Cundiff, Victoria Garcia, Vanessa Nguyen and Lauren Wallace, finished in fourth and scored a total of 390.

Coach Russell Fuqua said Garcia “led the way for the falcon girls and set a varsity personal best score of 88.”

Alongside the girls, the varsity boys also set records. The Falcons scored 348, which placed the team third on the all-time list for 18 hole tournaments. The team consisted of Cole Jones, Garrison Kuehler, Brandon McLendon, Jarred Roland and Cody Schneider. McLendon set his varsity personal best of 85 at the tournament. Jones and Kuehler also carded personal bests in a varsity event with scores of 86.

The Timber Creek JV boys traveled to Southern Oaks in Burleson, Texas. Alex Eyeington, Dillon Fontaine, Cody Schneider and Noah Scullin scored 370 strokes as a team. Fontaine placed eighth overall with a “nice score of 89” according to Fuqua, which led the Falcon golfers. Each shooting scores of 91, Scullin and Schneider followed in a tie for ninth place.
