After forcing a Game 3 in the bi-district level of 6A Playoffs, the Falcons fell to Flower Mound 6-1 during a May 9 game at QuikTrip Park.

The series started out difficult for the Falcons, who got shut out in the first game of the series on Thursday, May 7, with a 4-0 finish for Flower Mound.

Senor pitcher Ryan VanLeeuwen had the following take on the first outing for the Falcons.

That optimism proved successful for VanLeeuwen, who helped the Falcons limit Flower Mound to only one hit on Friday, May 8, and shut down the highly ranked team with a 4-0 victory for the Falcons. The game marked the first ever playoff win for the Varsity boys and forced a third game for Saturday. Twitter rejoiced.

With the stage set for a final game, the Falcons went into the match-up determined to work their hardest. Unfortunately, against one of the toughest teams in the nation, their last effort fell short, knocking them out of contention.

Still, the team was grateful for support from their fellow teammates and the students that supported them.
