Students who received a note saying that they are eligible for the National Technical Honors Society, and are interested, please pick up your eligibility letters by Feb. 28 in room N203.

The eligibility letters don’t guarantee that students will be accepted, only that they have met the minimum requirements for acceptance. To qualify for the NTHS students have to be in the top 20% of their class and enrolled in a CTE course.

The NTHS is very similar to the National Honors Society, but it is for students who are enrolled CTE courses. The program honors the top CTE students and provides many opportunities for scholarships. Over 1.7 million dollars in scholarships have been given to students involved with this organization. The NTHS is very new to KISD and they are still in the process of setting up chapters at each of the high school campuses.

If the students who received letters are interested in the NTHS and would like to be considered for the program, they should attend the eligibility meeting on Thursday, March 1.

The last day to turn in applications for the National Technical Honor Society is Wednesday, March 21. Applications should be turned in to David’s in room N203.

If you would like more information or have any more questions, you can visit the NTHS website below or talk to Catherine David in room N203.
