Last week, Timber Creek hosted their Annual Rex King Memorial soccer tournament to raise money for the Community Hospice. Schools from all around North Texas came to compete in the competitive tournament for a good cause.

Timber Creek’s varsity boys played their way to the semi finals of the tournament, being narrowly defeated by Byron Nelson. Unfortunately, the boys came up short in the third place match, losing 1-0 to Fossil Ridge.

Although the Timber Creek Girls found more success, making an impressive run to the finals of the Rex King Memorial, they were defeated by a stellar Vista Ridge team.  After losing major components of last year’s team, the Timber Creek girls showed that they’re still a force to be reckoned with.

The tournament had one goal in mind: to raise money for the Community Hospice, which was accomplished, as the competition raised an astonishing amount of $16,601.
