National Honor Society is hosting a Hope for the Holidays drive starting from Tuesday, Nov. 7 through Friday, Dec. 1, 2017.

NHS is also raising the bar from last years total of $7000, to $8000.

Students will have a “Hope Tree” in their English class, and can purchase ornaments from their teacher to fill up the tree. Donation amounts will range from about 50 cents to $20 per item. The English teacher with the most donations will win a dessert party for all their classes.

Donations received will be given to our Falcon Families to provide assistance throughout the Holiday season.

“We help families from Timber Creek who need a little extra support through ought the holiday season,” NHS sponsor Cerissa Johnson said.

NHS has been hosting the event for over seven years now, and each year it has been a big success.

“We implemented a department competition last year so that staff could participate as well,” said Johnson. “We just need to help as many families as possible.”
