The weather was ideal for the event, and there was fun being had as athletes from all over Keller ISD competed in this year’s Special Olympics AREA 11 Flag Football Tournament.

On Saturday Sept. 30, the Special Olympics AREA 11 Flag Football Tournament took place at Keller High School. There was not an overall winner yet, but teams competed in separate brackets, playing two to three games in a bracket.

“The teams competed in a classification round in the morning to evaluate skills, and based on how they played in the classification round determined which bracket team would play in the tournament,” said LIFE Skills Program Specialist Jennifer Guess.

Athletes from schools all over the district, came out to compete, in a friendly, yet intense, tournament.
