The Timber Creek rugby team will play their first home game this Saturday, Dec. 17 at the Keller Sport Complex on field 7 at noon. The team will be playing against the Boswell rugby club. Josh Foster, a founder for the club, feels confident that they can crush the opposing team on Saturday.

“I know for a fact the team is ready for our next game. We practice with focus and precision, and we condition hard to make sure the teams we play get left behind.”

The upcoming games can make Foster anxious, as he explains and he tells the Talon that in order to get in the zone, he prays. “I personally have to zone out before a game…I’m constantly praying that God brings me peace and focus before every game.”

Concerning the last game, winning with 14-10 against Leander Warlords, Foster explains, “We did really well for our first time playing together as a team. I was very proud of how each player held their composure under the different pressures that were presented to them.”
