If you have been selected to be part of the National Honors Society at Timber Creek, there are a couple deadlines you should know about.

First, bring your signed NHS contract and your $20 fee to the upcoming new member meeting on Tuesday, April 19 at 4 p.m. or Wednesday, April 20 at 8 a.m. to insure that your name is included in the induction ceremony.

The induction ceremony will take place on Wednesday, April 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the fine arts center, students will need to arrive at 6 p.m., and may invite friends and family to celebrate the occasion.

Attendance at monthly member meetings and participating in “Group Service Projects” are both mandatory. These include events such as Hope for the Holidays, the Canned Food Drive and Pasta for Pennies.

Lastly, you are required to complete 15 hours of “Individual Service Hours” each school year. At least seven of the hours must be completed and turned in at the December meeting, the remaining eight hours is due at the May meeting.
